Job opening at the Biscayne Nature Center


Looking for a Marine Science related job opportunity??

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to environmental education and the encouragement of greater citizen participation in the protection of our natural environment. The MSD Biscayne Nature Center is looking for full and part-time employees to instruct our weekly field science programs for local schools and the general public. Please read the job description below for more details.

Title: Naturalist

Location: Crandon Park, Key Biscayne

Rate: $75 for weekday programs running from 9am to 2pm
              $16 an hour for weekend programs times will vary

Job Description: Naturalists at the Biscayne Nature Center are trained to lead different outdoor field science programs. No previous experience is necessary, but a strong background in Marine Science and a familiarity with the South Florida environment is a plus. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking individuals who have a love for nature and the environment. You will be thoroughly trained on each of these five general topics, seagrass beds, mangroves, hammock, fossil reef, and general coastal ecology. As a naturalist you will lead groups of up to 20 students on a hands-on field science program.

Availability: Weekdays from 9:00am-2:00pm, Weekends as Needed
